How to send text messages and multimedia messages on my Apple iPhone 3GS

Text messages (SMS) are short, text-only messages sent over the mobile network. Multimedia messages (MMS) are similar to text messages except they allow you to add images, sounds or other files to the message.
1. Touch Messages.
2. Touch Compose.
3. Enter the recipient's mobile phone number or touch Add to select someone from your contacts list.
4. Touch the required contact.
5. Touch Text Message.
6. Enter your text message.
7. Touch Send to send the text message or touch the Camera to make this a multimedia message.
8. To add a photo saved on the iPhone 3GS, touch Choose Existing.
9. Touch the required album.
10. Touch the required picture.
11. Touch Choose.
12. Touch Send.
13. Your message is being sent.
