  • Before you can use your Apple iPhone 3GS, you will need to activate it via iTunes. If you don't have iTunes on your computer, you'll need to download and install it.
    Note: in this example, we've used iTunes v10.7.
  • 1. Drag the slider to the right to start setup.
  • 2. Touch English.
  • 3. Touch Next.
  • 4. Touch Show More…
  • 5. Scroll to and touch Canada.
  • 6. Touch Next.
  • 7. Touch the required Wi-Fi network.
  • 8. Enter the network password.
  • 9. Touch Join.
  • 10. Touch Next.
  • 11. Wait while your Apple iPhone 3GS is activated.
  • 12. Touch Enable Location Services.
  • 13. Touch Next.
  • 14. Touch Next.
  • 15. Touch Sign In with an Apple ID.
  • 16. Enter your Apple ID.
  • 17. Touch Password.
  • 18. Enter your password.
  • 19. Touch Next.
  • 20. Touch Agree.
  • 21. Touch Agree.
  • 22. Wait while your Apple ID is set up.
  • 23. Touch Use iCloud.
  • 24. Touch Next.
  • 25. Touch Next.
  • 26. Touch Use Find My iPhone.
  • 27. Touch Next.
  • 28. Touch Automatically Send.
  • 29. Touch Next.
  • 30. Touch Start Using iPhone.
  • 31. Ensure your Apple iPhone 3GS is connected to iTunes.
  • 32. On the computer, select your iPhone.
  • 33. Click Set up as a new iPhone.
  • 34. Click Continue.
  • 35. Enter a name for the Apple iPhone 3GS.
  • 36. Click Done.
  • 37. The Apple iPhone 3GS is activated and ready to use.
