  • If you have trouble sending or receiving email, you may need to change the email server settings. Please contact your email provider to obtain the correct server settings.
  • 1. Press the Menu key.
  • 2. Scroll to and select Setup.
  • 3. Scroll to and select Email Settings.
  • 4. Wait while the BlackBerry® Bold 9700 smartphone contacts the network.
  • 5. Scroll to the required email account.
  • 6. Press the Menu key.
  • 7. Scroll to and select Edit.
  • 8. Change the Email account name if required.
  • 9. Scroll to and change Your name if required.
  • 10. Scroll to and select Advanced Options.
  • 11. Scroll to and select Email Server.
  • 12. Enter the correct email server.
  • 13. Scroll to and select Save.
  • 14. Enter the password for the email account.
  • 15. Scroll to and select OK.
  • 16. Wait while the Bold 9700 saves the changes.
  • 17. The selected email account has been changed.
  • Note: Entering the wrong mail server settings can stop your BlackBerry Bold 9700 from sending and/or receiving email. If you can't get the mail server to connect, ensure the settings are correct and working on a home computer. Also, check the network or Internet connectivity settings.
