If your BlackBerry® Bold 9700 becomes unresponsive or doesn't perform as expected, you can reset the Bold 9700 to the factory default settings.
Important: this will delete all the data stored on the device.
1. Press the Menu key.
2. Scroll to and select Options.
3. Scroll to and select Security Options.
4. Scroll to and select Security Wipe.
5. Select the required options.
6. Scroll down to the text box, and enter "blackberry".
7. Select Wipe.
8. All the selected data will be erased.
