How to sync Microsoft Outlook contacts with my BlackBerry Bold 9780

- If you have contacts stored in Microsoft® Outlook®, you can export them to a file and then import them into a Gmail™ account. You can then sync your BlackBerry® smartphone with Gmail.
In this example, we've used Microsoft Outlook 2010. - 1. On the computer, launch Microsoft Outlook.
- 2. Click File.
- 3. Click Open.
- 4. Click Import.
- 5. Click Export to a file.
- 6. Click Next.
- 7. Click Comma Separated Values (Windows).
- 8. Click Next.
- 9. Click Contacts.
- 10. Click Next.
- 11. Click Browse to select where to export the contacts.
- 12. Click Next.
- 13. Click Finish.
- 14. Launch a web browser and navigate to Google™ Mail (gmail.com).
- 15. Log in to your Google Mail account.
- 16. Click Contacts.
- 17. Click More.
- 18. Click Import.
- 19. Select the location of the CSV file.
- 20. Click Import.
- 21. The contacts have been successfully imported into Google Mail.
- 22. On the BlackBerry smartphone, scroll to and select All.
- 23. Scroll to and select Setup.
- 24. Scroll to and select Email Accounts.
- 25. Select Internet Mail Account.
- 26. Press the Menu key.
- 27. Scroll to and select Edit.
- 28. Scroll to and select Synchronization Options.
- 29. Scroll to and select Contacts.
- 30. Scroll to and select Save.
- 31. Enter your Google account password.
- 32. Scroll to and select OK.
- 33. Scroll to and select Synchronize to synchronize the contacts to the BlackBerry smartphone.
- This process should work successfully in other email programs and with other webmail accounts.
You may also be able to import contacts from your old phone's MicroSD card.
You may also be able to import contacts using a SIM card, but SIM cards have limited storage capacity and might not hold all your contacts.
