You can set a password to help protect your BlackBerry® smartphone from unauthorized use. If enabled, you'll have to enter the password before you can use the BlackBerry smartphone from standby mode.
1. Scroll to and select All.
2. Scroll to and select Options.
3. Scroll to and select Security.
4. Select Password.
5. Select Enable.
6. Scroll to and select Set Password.
7. Enter a password.
8. Press the Enter key.
9. Enter the password again to confirm.
10. Press the Enter key.
11. Press the Back key.
12. Select Save.
