How to turn near field communication (NFC) on and off on my BlackBerry Bold 9900 4G

This function turns NFC (near field communication) on or off. Turning NFC off when it is not required can help to prolong battery life slightly.
1. Scroll to and select All.
2. Scroll to and select Manage Connections.
3. To turn NFC on, scroll to and select Near Field Communication.
4. NFC has been turned on.
Select Near Field Communication again to turn NFC off.
