When an unlock password has been set, a password is required to unlock the BlackBerry® smartphone from standby.
1. Scroll to and select All.
2. Scroll to and select Options.
3. Scroll to and select Security.
4. Select Password.
5. Select Enable.
6. Scroll to and select Set Password.
7. Enter a password.
8. Press the Enter key.
9. Enter the password again to confirm.
10. Press the Enter key.
11. Press the Menu key.
12. Scroll to and select Save.
