How to turn data services and/or data roaming on/off on my BlackBerry Curve 8530

When abroad, we recommend that you turn off data roaming to avoid unwanted roaming charges when using email, web browsing and other data services. If required you can switch the network off so that the BlackBerry Curve 8530 will not transmit data without a Wi-Fi connection.
1. Press the Menu key.
2. Scroll to and select Manage Connections.
3. Scroll to and select Mobile Network Options.
4. Select While Roaming.
5. Select the required setting (e.g. Off).
6. The setting has been applied.
7. To switch the network off completely, select Data Services.
8. Select the required setting (e.g. Off).
9. Data services are now off.
Select Data Services again to turn data services on.
