BlackBerry® Messenger (BBM) is an instant messaging app just for BlackBerry smartphones. With a chat-style layout and unlimited characters, BBM makes it easy to connect with your friends and colleagues.
1. Press the Menu key.
2. Scroll to and select Instant Messaging.
3. Scroll to and select BlackBerry Messenger.
4. The license agreement is displayed. Select I Accept.
5. Enter your name.
6. Select OK.
7. Select Select Contact.
8. Scroll to and select a contact that represents you.
9. Scroll to and select Invite Contact.
10. Scroll to and select the required option (e.g. Enter a person's email address, PIN or name).
11. Enter a PIN, email address or contact name.
12. Select the contact match.
13. Select Send.
14. The contact is pending (waiting for authorization).
15. When the contact has accepted your request, they will become available.
