You can set a password to help protect your BlackBerry® smartphone from unauthorized use.
1. Press the Menu key.
2. Scroll to and select Options.
3. Scroll to and select Password.
4. Scroll to and select Password.
5. Select Enabled.
6. Scroll to and select Set password.
7. Enter a password.
8. Press the Select key.
9. Re-enter the password.
10. Press the Select key.
11. Your password is set.
Note: Other preferences can be set in the same way (e.g. Number of password attempts, etc.).
