You can update your BlackBerry Q5 using BlackBerry Link on your computer. BlackBerry Link can automatically check for software updates whenever your BlackBerry Q5 is plugged in. Here, we've used BlackBerry Link 1.0.0.76.
1. Connect the BlackBerry Q5 to the computer using the USB cable. BlackBerry Link should start automatically; if it doesn't, launch the program manually.
2. Click the Settings icon.
3. Ensure Automatically check for BlackBerry Link and device software updates is checked.
