  • Changing the mail server settings can sometimes be required if you have problems sending or receiving email. Please contact your email provider for the correct mail server settings.
  • 1. Touch All.
  • 2. Scroll to and touch Setup.
  • 3. Touch Email Accounts.
  • 4. Wait while the BlackBerry® smartphone contacts the network.
  • 5. Touch the required email account.
  • 6. Touch Edit.
  • 7. If required, touch Email account name.
  • 8. Delete the text already present.
  • 9. Enter the required account name.
  • 10. If required, touch Your name.
  • 11. Enter your name.
  • 12. Scroll down.
  • 13. Touch Advanced Options.
  • 14. Touch Email Server.
  • 15. Delete the text already present.
  • 16. Enter the email server address.
  • 17. Scroll down.
  • 18. Touch Save.
  • 19. Enter the email account password.
  • 20. Touch Validate.
  • 21. Wait while the new settings are saved.
  • 22. The selected email account has been changed.
  • Note: Entering the wrong mail server settings can stop your BlackBerry Torch 9800 from sending and/or receiving email. If you can't get the mail server to connect, ensure the settings are correct and working on a home computer. Also, check the network or Internet connectivity settings.
