How to change the firewall settings on my BlackBerry Torch 9800

You can set up a firewall on your BlackBerry® smartphone to block certain types of incoming messages (e.g., text messages, PIN messages, email).
1. Touch All.
2. Scroll to and touch Options.
3. Scroll to and touch Security.
4. Touch Firewall.
5. Touch Enable.
6. Touch the required message type (e.g. Personal Email).
7. If required, touch Contacts to set an exception. This will allow email from contacts stored in your phonebook. All other incoming mail will be blocked.
8. To allow messages from a specific email address, touch Specific Addresses, Phone Numbers or PINs.
9. Touch Add.
10. Press the Menu key.
11. Touch Add Email Address.
12. Enter the email address.
13. Press the Menu key.
14. Touch Save.
15. When all exceptions have been added, press the Menu key.
16. Touch Save.
17. The firewall settings have been changed.
The blocked messages count is displayed on the firewall screen.
