1. Touch Applications.
2. Scroll and touch Settings.
3. Scroll to and touch Display & gestures.
4. Touch Brightness.
5. Touch Automatic brightness to disable it.
6. Adjust the slider to reduce the screen brightness.
7. Touch OK.
8. The screen brightness has been reduced.
