  • If there are problems sending or receiving email on your HTC Windows Phone 8S, you might need to change the email server settings. Please contact your email provider to obtain the correct settings.
  • 1. Swipe left to go to the App list.
  • 2. Scroll to and touch Settings.
  • 3. Touch email + accounts.
  • 4. Touch the account you want to edit.
  • 5. The most common settings to change are the outgoing settings.
    Scroll to and touch Outgoing (SMTP) email server.
  • 6. Edit the SMTP server.
  • 7. Touch the check mark icon.
  • 8. The changes have been saved.
  • Please note: entering the wrong settings can stop your phone from sending and/or receiving email. If you can't get the email server to connect, ensure the settings are correct and working on a home computer. Also, make sure you're connected to the Internet.
