  • If you have contacts stored in Microsoft® Outlook®, you can export them to a CSV file and then import them into a Microsoft email account. You can then sync your HTC Windows Phone 8S with your Microsoft contacts.

    In this example, we've used Microsoft Outlook 2010. This process should also work with other email programs and other webmail services.
  • 1. On the computer, launch Microsoft Outlook.
  • 2. Click File.
  • 3. Click Open.
  • 4. Click Import.
  • 5. Click Export to a file.
  • 6. Click Next.
  • 7. Click Comma Separated Values (Windows).
  • 8. Click Next.
  • 9. Click Contacts.
  • 10. Click Next.
  • 11. Click Browse and choose a location to save the CSV file (e.g., on the desktop).
  • 12. Click Next.
  • 13. Click Finish.
  • 14. Launch a web browser and navigate to outlook.com.
  • 15. Log in using your Microsoft account.
  • 16. Click Change.
  • 17. Click People.
  • 18. Click Import from file.
  • 19. Click Browse and select the CSV file with your contacts.
  • 20. Click Import contacts.
  • 21. The contacts have been imported into your Microsoft account.
  • 22. On the phone, swipe left to go to the App list.
  • 23. Scroll to and touch Settings.
  • 24. Touch email + accounts.
  • 25. Touch and hold your Microsoft account.
  • 26. Touch sync to sync the contacts to the phone.
