How to set up a new Huawei Nova Plus using the setup wizard

When you use your Huawei Nova Plus for the first time, it will take you through a setup wizard and help you set up some key features. For example, you can enable the Device Protection feature by adding a Google account and setting a screen lock.

Device Protection helps to protect your phone from being used if itʼs lost or stolen. Even if your Huawei Nova Plus is erased, your Google account password will be required before anyone can use it.

Please note: the steps may differ depending on the options selected. Simply follow the prompts on the Huawei Nova Plus to complete the setup wizard.
1. Select the desired language and touch Next.
2. Select the desired region and touch Next.
3. The Huawei Nova Plus will automatically scan for Wi-Fi networks and display a list. To connect, touch the network name.
4. Enter the network password.
5. Touch Connect.
6. Touch Next.
7. Review the Terms and Conditions and touch Agree.
8. Touch the desired option, e.g., Allow.
9. You can restore from a backup of another device or set up your Huawei Nova Plus as a new device. Touch the desired option e.g., No thanks.
10. Touch NEXT.
11. Touch Enter your email.
12. Enter your email address.
13. Touch NEXT.
14. Enter your password.
15. Touch NEXT.
16. Touch ACCEPT.
17. Set up your Google service settings, then touch the Down icon to view more settings.
18. Touch NEXT.
19. Touch the desired option, e.g., No, thanks.
20. Touch CONTINUE.
21. Touch the desired option, e.g., touch Set screen lock style to set up screen lock, Device Protection and fingerprint scanning.
22. Touch the desired option, e.g., PIN.
23. Enter your desired PIN.
24. Touch Confirm PIN.
25. Re-enter the PIN to confirm it.
26. Touch Done.
27. Touch Next.
28. Review the information and touch the desired option e.g., Enroll.
29. Confirm your new PIN.
30. Touch Next.
31. Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor to start the scanning process.
32. Place and lift your finger on the fingerprint sensor repeatedly to build up the pattern.
33. Your fingerprint is set up. Touch OK.
34. The Huawei Nova Plus is ready to use. Touch Begin.
