  • When you use your LG Q6 for the first time, it will take you through a setup wizard and help you set up some key features. For example, you can enable the Device Protection feature by adding a Google account and setting a screen lock.

    Device Protection helps to protect your phone from being used if it's lost or stolen. Even if your LG Q6 is erased, your Google account password will be required before anyone can use it.

    Please note: the steps may differ depending on the options selected. Simply follow the prompts on the LG Q6 to complete the setup wizard.
  • 1. Select the desired language and touch the Arrow icon.
  • 2. Touch the Wi-Fi slider to turn it on.
  • 3. A list of available Wi-Fi networks will appear. To connect, touch the Wi-Fi network name.
  • 4. Enter the Wi-Fi network password.
  • 5. Touch CONNECT.
  • 6. Touch NEXT.
  • 7. Touch the desired option (e.g., Set up as new).
  • 8. Sign in to your Google account or create a new one. To sign in, touch Email or phone.

    Note: A Google account is needed to use certain features such as Device Protection, Google Hangouts and Google Play Store.
  • 9. Enter your Google email address.
  • 10. Touch NEXT.
  • 11. Enter your Google account password and touch NEXT.
  • 12. Touch I AGREE.
  • 13. Touch the type of screen lock you want to use. In this example, a PIN will be used.
  • 14. Touch the desired option (e.g., No, thanks) and touch NEXT.
  • 15. Enter your desired PIN and touch NEXT.
  • 16. Re-enter your PIN to confirm it and touch OK.
  • 17. A list of options will appear and you can touch the sliders to enable or disable them. Scroll down for more.
  • 18. Touch NEXT.
  • 19. Touch CONTINUE.
  • 20. Touch YES, IʼM IN.
  • 21. Touch the required checkbox.
  • 22. Scroll down for more.
  • 23. Touch the optional checkboxes if desired, then touch DONE to finish the setup.
