  • Changing the mail server settings can sometimes be required if you have problems sending or receiving email. Please contact your email provider to obtain the correct mail server settings.
  • 1. Touch Applications.
  • 2. Touch Email.
  • 3. Touch and hold the required account (e.g. Openface).
  • 4. Touch Account settings.
  • 5. Scroll to Server settings. To change the outgoing server settings, touch Outgoing settings.
  • 6. Edit the SMTP server name.
  • 7. Touch Next.
  • 8. Edit the port number.
  • 9. Touch Require sign-in.
  • 10. Touch Next.
  • 11. Wait while the phone checks the outgoing server settings.
  • 12. Scroll to and touch Email check frequency.
  • 13. Touch the required setting (e.g. Every 30 minutes).
  • 14. Touch Account name.
  • 15. Change the account name if required.
  • 16. Touch OK.
  • 17. Press the Return key.
  • 18. The settings have been changed.
  • Note: Entering the wrong mail server settings can stop your Samsung Galaxy 551 from sending and/or receiving email. If you can't get the mail server to connect, ensure the settings are correct and working on a home computer. Also, check the network or Internet connectivity settings.
