You can set a password to help protect your phone from unauthorized use. If enabled, you'll have to enter the password before you can use the phone from standby mode.
1. Touch Menu.
2. Touch Settings.
3. Scroll to and touch Location & security.
4. Touch Set up screen lock.
5. Touch Password.
6. Enter a new password.
7. Ensure that you include at least one letter.
8. Touch Continue.
9. Re-enter the new password.
10. Touch OK.
11. The screen unlock password has been set.
