How to set up Fingerprint unlock on my Samsung Galaxy S6

- Fingerprint unlock is a security feature that uses fingerprint recognition technology instead of a PIN or password. It lets you unlock the Samsung Galaxy S6 using the fingerprint reader located in the home button.
- 1. Touch Apps.
- 2. Touch Settings.
- 3. Scroll to and touch Lock screen and security.
- 4. Touch Fingerprint.
- 5. Touch Add fingerprint.
- 6. Read the warning and touch CONFIRM.
- 7. Place your finger or thumb over the Home button to start the fingerprint recognition process.
- 8. Keep placing your finger or thumb on the home button to build up the pattern.
- 9. When you see this screen, read the information and touch CONTINUE.
- 10. When the fingerprint recognition process is complete, you will be asked to create a backup password in case Fingerprint Unlock can't unlock the phone.
- 11. Enter a password.
- 12. Touch CONTINUE.
- 13. Re-enter the password to confirm it.
- 14. Touch OK.
- 15. Touch OK.
- 16. Fingerprint Unlock has been set up.
- 17. To unlock the Samsung Galaxy S6 from standby mode, just place your finger or thumb on the Home button and it will unlock.
Note:You will have a maximum of five attempts to unlock the Samsung Galaxy S6 using your registered fingerprint before being asked to enter your backup password.
