How to perform a hard reset when my Samsung Galaxy S II 4G is unresponsive

- If the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G becomes unresponsive or doesn't perform as expected, you can perform a hard reset to return it to a factory default state.
Important: A hard reset will delete your data, apps and settings. It will not remove data from the memory card. - 1. Before you reset the phone, turn it off then on again. This can fix some issues. If it won't turn off, remove then reinsert the battery.
- 2. If the phone doesn't turn on, follow the steps below to complete a hard reset.
- 3. Press and hold the Home button, the Volume up button and the Power button. Keep the buttons held down until the Samsung logo appears.
- 4. Scroll to wipe data/factory reset by pressing the Volume down button.
- 5. Press the Power button.
- 6. Scroll to Yes -- delete all user data by pressing the Volume down button.
- 7. Press the Power button.
- 8. The phone will now wipe all contents.
- 9. Press the Power button.
- 10. The phone will now reboot to the initial setup screen.
