How to transfer content from my old phone to my Samsung Galaxy Tab E using Smart Switch

- With Samsung Smart Switchâ„¢, you can transfer a variety of content from an Android, iOS or BlackBerry device to your Samsung Galaxy Tab E. Types of content include: contacts, photos, music, videos, messages, notes, calendars and more.
For wireless transfers from Android or BlackBerry to the Samsung Galaxy Tab E, you must install the Smart Switch Mobile app on both devices. For wired transfers using a USB OTG cable, or for transfers from an iOS device, you only need Smart Switch Mobile on the Samsung Galaxy Tab E. Smart Switch Mobile can be downloaded from Galaxy Apps and Google Play Store.
The steps will differ depending on the devices you are using and whether you're performing a wired or wireless transfer. Here, we show you how to transfer content wirelessly from another Android device. - 1. Touch Apps.
- 2. Touch Smart Switch.
- 3. Touch START.
- 4. Read the End User Licence Agreement and touch AGREE.
- 5. Touch the old device type.
In this example, we've selected Android device. - 6. Touch START.
- 7. On the old device, follow steps 1-6, then touch SEND.
- 8. On the Samsung Galaxy Tab E, touch RECEIVE.
- 9. Place the devices close to each other so they can connect.
- 10. The devices are now connected.
- 11. On the old device, select the data to transfer (e.g., Contacts) and touch SEND.
- 12. On the Samsung Galaxy Tab E, touch RECEIVE.
- 13. Wait for the content to transfer.
- 14. The transfer has been completed.
